Nope. I'm saying that if you drop your stupid bias, and think objectively for once in your life, then it clearly is sound logical thinking.

Are people who have to think like killers in order to catch them illogical, or the same as those killers? Nope. So neither are people who can understand the logic behind something like this.

 

If I lived in a post apocalyptic world I'd build a town around a dud atomic bomb, and call the town 'Megaton'.

 

The children? All I've been hearing is the economy dropping and the loss of jobs. Gaza has been nothing but adults who can't play nice together.

Apocalypse? Perhaps from a religious standpoint I can see that there are signs to the end, or "The Second Coming." I just don't see what you mean by people being particularly violent. We haven't had a World War in years, so I'd say we're doing fairly well in terms of peace.

 

I've just never heard anyone say that, from the standpoint of someone fighting a war, the killing of innocent children makes perfect sense, the product of sound, logical reasoning.

Now, if you had said that those people are insane murderers, but that you understand the insane, deranged thought processes that go on in their head that lead them to kill innocent children, because you took Abnormal Psychology in your sophomore year, I might have been able to agree with you.

 

Actually I didn't. I've only taken General Psychology(HS and freshmen year of college) and that was because it is interesting and it's a requirement for my major. I don't understand things based on my Psychology classes except for those things that I learned in Psychology. Things like this were not in my Psychology class. Nice attempt at deflection again though.

They aren't insane. In order to be insane, one must not be able to understand what they are doing. Clearly these people do understand exactly what they are doing and it is well thought out.

Just because you don't agree with it and it's horrible, doesn't mean it isn't sound logical thinking.

How about presenting a sound argument for a change? It would be quite refreshing.

You wouldn't know it if I did. According to your carefully reasoned analysis, Hitler's extermination of the Jews was the product of sound, logical thinking. And if he had been caught, he would have been hung for it. It was a war crime.

 

Logic doesn't always belong next to extreme. You shouldn't overdo things even if they are logical.

I wont say my opinion in whether I think what Hitler did was logical or not, but if it would be considered logical he certainly overdid it.

I was a horrible student back in HS and of course I didn't study, so I didn't do anywhere near as well as I should've.

Not necessarily insane...but certainly neither sound nor logical, either. I've never heard random gang violence described as "logical" before.

there is no escaping violence. life begins violently and ends violently.

life and violence go hand in hand. the only organisms (generally) that do not kill to survive are plants. they photosynthesize (the majority)

every other organism has to destroy another to live. its fundamentally inescapable.

people will always kill people. the persons who are doing the killing always think they doing what's best for them.

 

If they would think that they did what was bad for themselves, how would that look? "I'm really sorry that we bombed all those people! But we wont stop, but I regret it deeply!"

You don't know much about the history of warfare, do you? If the intention is to defeat another country, then leaving the children alive is a bloody stupid thing to do; they'll just grow up to become the next generation of soldiers you have to fight.

 

Hitler's extermination of the Jews was a faulty premise to begin with; but, based on that premise, it's only logical to wipe out the children as well.
