Las películas de acción nos dan catarsis, nos dejan ponernos en los zapatos de héroes, guerreros, soldados, espías y criminales, viviendo nuestras fantasías más locas de la infancia sin tener que arriesgar nuestra vida o hacer el ridículo, y por eso no dudamos un segundo en ir a verlas cada vez que una nueva llega al cine (o al streaming).
Personajes como John Wick (que está por estrenar su película número 4), los héroes de Marvel o los científicos que se enfrentaron a los dinosaurios en Jurassic Park son referentes en el género, lograron marcar la cultura popular y siguen inspirando a otros a seguir creando películas explosivas y llenas de adrenalina que nos ayudan a dejar de pensar en nuestros propios problemas aunque sea por unas horas.
Pero ¿cuáles son las mejores películas de acción que existen? Seguramente todos tienen sus favoritas y las listas son largas y variadas, pero los expertos creen saber cuáles son las más importantes y las que realmente vale la pena ver una y otra vez.
Para encontrar las mejores películas de todos los tiempos, Rotten Tomatoes analizó los votos y calificaciones tanto de los críticos como de los fanáticos (que al final son los que pagan para ir a ver las películas) y encontró 100 películas que marcaron al mundo, que hicieron historia y que, al día de hoy, siguen representando lo mejor del género.
Marvel está, obviamente, a la cabeza de la lista (aunque le duela a Martin Scorsese) y están en muy buena compañía con decenas de películas icónicas que hacen del género de acción uno de los mejores.
