La categoría de Mejor Película en los Oscar es la que se reserva para el final de la ceremonia, es uno de los premios más importantes y todas las películas nominadas quisieran ser las ganadoras, pero solo una se convierte en la gran vencedora.
Desde hace algunos años, la categoría deja espacio para reconocer a 10 películas (antes eran 5, como en el resto de las categorías) de distintos géneros, y de ahí han salido películas de todo tipo, algunas más merecedoras que otras, pero todas son películas que han marcado al cine y al mundo de una u otra forma.
En 2024, Oppenheimer se sumó a la lista de las películas ganadoras, además de que Christopher Nolan se llevó un muy mercado Oscar como Mejor Director, que la le debían por su trabajo en proyectos como Interstellar e Inception, y con eso la categoría suma una película que demuestra que cualquier historia puede llegar a ser icónica, pero solo si la sabes contar bien.
En 2025, la ganadora fue Anora, que se llevó un total de 5 premios en la ceremonia, incluyendo mejor actriz para Mikey Madison.
Y es verdad que no todas las películas que han ganado en esta categoría son películas que invitan a verlas una y otra vez, algunas son muy densas, largas o incluso aburridas, pero sin duda son grandes películas han inspirado a millones de personas, y que vale la pena ver para saber un poco más de buen cine.
